On behalf of the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board and all Scottsdale schools, we would like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year.  We are excited for the upcoming year as we will assuredly continue with Scottsdale’s tremendous athletic successes and provide our student athletes with positive experiences that will become lifelong memories. As an organization, our goal is to ensure a safe environment for all of our stakeholders while focusing on fostering a culture of Character, Sportsmanship, and Respect.  Please keep in mind these core athletic values as we progress through our sports seasons and encourage your student athlete to focus on them as they compete.

Our Story

2 Years in Honor Bowl

Saguaro travels in once more from Scottdale, AZ to play in their second Honor Bowl. Head Coach Jason Mohns was totally impressed by the 2018 event when the Sabercats handled Helix in a tough game held at Cathedral Catholic. Mohns told us after the game: “It is a great honor to be able to play in The Honor Bowl. Being from Arizona and following the national football scene, The Honor Bowl is definitely one of the top showcases early in the season for high school football at the national level. It is special for what it represents, the men and women of our armed forces that allow us to have the freedom to play this great sport of football. We take pride in that and being part of this event that supports and honors them is a privilege for our team.” This year Saguaro will play Cathedral Catholic for the finale of the 2019 Honor Bowl before a rowdy home crowd. The Sabercats return loaded, with #1 recruit Kelee Ringo CB along with a slew of talented D1 players.
